Water Damage – Chicago Fitness Center

Water damage struck this Chicago fitness center when the business adjacent to it in the strip center suffered a broken pipe. The clean water flowed through the shared wall and produced standing water in the fitness center. The fitness center owner called SERVPRO immediately. We responded quickly, and when we arrived, we removed the fitness equipment and used truck mounted extraction equipment to remove the standing water. We then set up commercial air movers and dehumidifiers to aid in the drying process. When dry we treated the affected area and equipment with an antimicrobial agent to inhibit any potential mold growth in the future.
