Commercial Water Damage – Chicago Hotel
Commercial water damage occurred at this Chicago hotel when a guest left the water running in the bathtub. The water soaked the carpeting in the room and spilled out into the hallway. The carpeting was a very high-grade short-napped material which is engineered to withstand foot traffic and water. The hotel manager called SERVPRO to clean up the water as their limited maintenance equipment was not sufficient to handle the job. We brought in industrial grade wet-vacuums that were designed just for this specific kind of condition. When the wet vacs had done their job, we placed industrial grade air movers to speed up the drying process. Commercial dehumidifiers were also employed. The job was completed the same day, and hotel management was very pleased with our effort.
